Noon Visual Creatives commissions Sophia Kyriacou to design a television programme brand on the various aspects of human rights, simply called, Human Rights. To express the various aspects of human rights Sophia Kyriacou turns the concept of the Zoetrope. The Greek word, Zoe, means life and tropos. Literally translating to the “wheel of life”, the video portrays this scenario with a Ying and Yang approach.

Zoetrope establishes with water; without it, there simply is no life. As the viewer is taken above the tiers, the imprisoned dove flying free contrasts the negative scenario of the prisoner. Above a Syrian child wearing a life jacket suggests to have travelled across the Mediterranean Sea to find hope. In contrast of this scene, there is a young girl oblivious, happily playing with a spinning top.

An essential part of the brief was the opening title sequence had to withstand repeated viewing, packed with stories. Besides, it have to be able to deliver both English and Arabic end frame typographical versions with identical visuals.

By pairing stylised Meccano pieces “drawn on a strict grid” with a bold colour scheme we achieved a combination of balance and creativity while still having the option for a bright symbol that would be taken seriously by a crew of 50 lawyers who were being asked to play an egg and spoon race.

International Awards Associates, Inc. (IAA) will expand its Muse Creative Awards competition in 2017. The Muse Awards seeks to find and recognize the inspiring achievements of small and medium-sized design and advertising companies, and the creative professionals who are the foundation of the global marketing communications industry. Deadline for entry is February 28, 2017.

The premier edition of the Muse was a sleek statuette of a crowned woman. The levels of win are represented by a platinum, gold or rose-gold finish on the crown. Each year, in keeping with the fluidity of industry trends, the award was redesigned by a different award-winning artist.

“We’re keeping our promise to the international creative community,” Kenjo CK, President of IAA Awards said. “Last year’s competition received more than 1,200 entries. We recognized and rewarded tremendous creative work from 33 countries on six continents, and 2017 will be even better.

Kenjo noted that the February 2017 deadline offers a special advantage for the ultimate winners of the Muse Award. “Winning so early in the year leaves plenty of time to promote this prestigious award among peers and clients.”

The breadth and depth of entries has inspired expanding the number of categories for entry, from 128 in 2016 to 183 in 2017. In addition, new subcategories for websites, video and mobile apps will help align with the burst of creativity occuring in advanced technology. Entries in all categories will compete for a sleek statuette with Platinum, Gold or Rose Gold finish, depending on the level of win determined by a panel of judges.

The Muse Creative Awards is open to small and medium-sized firms, and freelancers. In addition to the award, small grants may be given to firms who personify social responsibility and community service in their communities.

All marketing and communications professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication collateral are eligible, whether they work in print, visual, online or audio materials. A small fee is required per entry, and is used to produce, administer and judge the competition.

Deadline for entry in the 2017 Muse Creative Awards competition is February 28, 2017.

It was designed to pair stunning lifestyle images with venue-specific, cheeky copy. The campaign features seven venues, each with a headline highlighting the unique aspects of the venue’s event. Headlines are as follows.

First there is the gaming event at Headquarters Beercade: “Score With Your Clients”. Coming up is the oyster and champagne tasting event at Pearl Tavern: “Shuck With Your Clients”. Not forgetting the cocktail event at Virgin Hotels Chicago: “Get Dirty With Your Clients”. At Beermiscuous is the beer tasting event: “Tap Your Clients”. Mixed media funky, fun idents for Zoom TV music blocks exaggerating themes LOVE, PARTY & FRESH. Models wearing morph suits were shot against green screen and composed into sequences. Various elements like plastic fruits, honeycomb balls, disco balls, heart balloons, thermocol balls, hair clips, buntings, paper hand fans, rubber flower pens etc have been used as objects animating around the model shots in morph suits that brings about a graphic finish for the films. Each of the elements have been shot using stop frame technique on a rotating base.
