The Concept

ASN Bank changes up the financial world with their new campaign. They demonstrate in a playful way how money can actually make you happy. The financial world is all too often represented in a cliche image. This gives ASN Bank enough reason for to change it to a more contemporary image. The story of the Creature of Habit is honest and the voice over takes you back to those dreamy bed time stories.

Koert van de Ploeg, Colourist at Ambassadors describes it as – an ordinary looking forest where nothing is what it seems to be. “Together with Vincent Lammers I worked on keeping a certain realism within a fictive world. By thickening the canopy within the forest we emphasise the darkness surrounding the Money Badger, but at the same time adding light streaks and spots to sympathise with the Creature of Habit. Together with the whole team we came to a unique balance between light, dark and colour while retaining a realistic concept”

The Idea

The realistic fabric furs, emphasises the tangibility of the characters which accentuates their primary characteristics. “The Creature of Habit wears a woollen sweater, where the Money Badger wear a tie and is made of a striped flannel suit fabric” explains Lammers. This contradiction is also very audible in the music which makes a combination between a playful and a serious tone. “The music needed a severe sound that has a lively translation on screen”, explain Sebastiaan Roestenburg, Founding Partner and Composer at Ambassadors. “So I started looking for sounds that triggers the imagination like the melody of the Celeste piano. It instantly take you to a fable world”.

The film, a masterpiece with an extensive eye for detail, is also very apparent in the animation. Watch Creature of Habit here!

For the film “Inferno” we created a visually stunning website that sends users on a challenging puzzle chase through the Nine Circles of Hell. For a unique interface, we modeled our own 3D map of Dante’s Hell with custom atmospheric sound effects. The site was created in partnership with Dan Brown and Google, and features many of the Google platforms in the puzzle design.

For Truett Cathy, life was always about people. He believed in making personal, and positive connections with the people he worked alongside. In 2012, the Chick-fil-A Foundation was established as the philanthropic arm of Chick-fil-A to continue Truett’s work of goodwill. Through partnerships with organizations dedicated to strengthening their local communities, development of programs for youth, and also awarding grants to organizations that align with our Mission. Introducing award-winning online video – Musician Mind-Reading produced by Twomanycreatives.

First, we invited the Ligeti Quartet to a special recording session. Each musician was fitted with a mindwave headset. Then, we converted their brainwaves into CVS data, that we used to visualise their thought patterns as they played.

The Brief

The Ligeti Quartet is probably the less classic classical quartet ever. The music they play (from György Ligeti) is quintessentially experimental and extremely complicated to perform.

The Idea

We made a music clip where we showed exactly how their music feels. By using simple off-the-shelf brainwave monitors, we’ve been able to read the brainwaves of the quartet as they play the track. We used those data and treated them as a beautiful visualisation of the performance.

Background of Product

Love knows no reason. A small olive grove near evora has been passed down from generation to generation, like a family heirloom, despite the great difficulty to maintain it. The desire to continue to preserve it for the future led the current generation to consider packaging and selling the olive oil it produces. Because it is a small production, with the inherent limitations for competitiveness, Rita Rivotti advised their clients to maximise on the tourists that visits the city each year and focus only on selling locally in tourist spots, with packaging that targets this public.

Meaning Behind the Design

The sentiment behind this project and the target in question merged in our minds immediately to a unique example of the region’s folk art; the statue “Amor e Cego” (Love is blind). This doll is part of a set of decorative figurines (Figurado de Estremoz). Made from clay for centuries by artisans in the Alentejo, it portray feelings, local trades and sacred figures. Besides, the “Amor e Cego” figure, blindfolded and adorned in festive attire, symbolises the irrationality of love. All together, that is the common sentiment in the project. It is the same irrationality that led the family to maintain the olive grove until today.

For love! Thus, aside from being a package for an extra virgin olive oil produced by a dedicated family, using traditional cultivation methods, it is also a decorative piece, a memento of the region. It is indeed a true icon of popular culture that will be a must-have for any tourist visiting the city. The transport packaging is a simple, ecological and affordable solution that also serves to showcase this charming little bottle. In fact, this project was a bestseller and sold out in the first months, leading the family to expand its production to other olive groves.
