We believe it would be appropriate to construct our set out of white foam. This is because such setting would match the cold, winter mood with added high contrast lighting.

This Anti-gravity film explores on unexpected shots. All scenes are shot live with a very experimental technique of mounting the camera alongside a custom designed rotating set. The production team uses various interesting props that lend itself to unique CG. For instance, the creation of mesmerising shots that brings about the film integrates the usage of visual experience. Random floating movements of the props creates surprising visual effects for its scenes. All white props were used exaggerating Kyoorius Designyatra 2016’s theme “WHY AM I HERE?”. Kyoorius has created and curated one of the world’s biggest and best annual conferences on design – Kyoorius Designyatra. Over 1300 delegates from across Asia has attended Designyatra and it has featured some of the biggest names in global creative and communications industry.

In an apocalyptic future a man is searching for something. On his way through the wasteland he passes the remains of some of Copenhagen’s most iconic buildings (Queen Louise’s Bridge, Round Tower and The City Hall). He finally arrives at his destination at a dark and sinister looking place. He lights a flare, and the iconic wolf from Copenhell’s festival venue appears in front of him. The earth cracks open and hell breaks loose. Welcome to Copenhell 2017!

COPENHELL is Denmark’s greatest rock and metal festival. It has drawn metal fans from both within and outside the country’s borders to Copenhagen since the beginning of 2010. The peninsula called ‘Refshaleaøen’ right in the middle of Copenhagen is the epicenter of these three days of hell on earth. The raw, industrial surroundings are the perfect background for the brutal decibel bombardment from COPENHELL’s three stages. The theme for this year’s Copenhell is  “The Apocalypse” and therefore a natural set off for the commercial.

In the opening scene “The Scavenger” is getting a signal on his device. Then, he sets off searching the wastelands. To link the scenery to Copenhagen we placed iconic buildings from the city in the environment. The Scavenger is also the center in the print campaign for the festival.

Frame drives Jaguar’s all-electric concept car forward. It takes you on a hypnotic ride through an abstract and hypnotic universe to launch Jaguar’s all new electric sports car: the I-Pace Concept.

The film is directed by Tom Crate from Frame and all post production done at Frame.

IAA to Roll Out GlobalTrend Video Awards

GlobalTrend Video Awards Call for Entries

International Awards Associates Inc. (IAA) is excited to announce its new awards competition, the 2017 GlobalTrend Video Awards, in recognition of the highest achievements of small and medium-sized online video, film, television and video game production companies, and the creative professionals who are the foundation of future of the industry. The competition is open to the entire video production community, from videographers, directors, writers, composers, editors, visual designers and freelance professionals, to video and audio production companies, game designers/producers, interactive agencies, television/radio stations and nonprofit organizations. Deadline for entry is July 20, 2017.

GlobalTrend Video Awards Call for Entries

“Small businesses and freelancers are just vital as larger entities to the health of the video industry, but often get overlooked,” Kenjo Ong, President for the International Awards Associates (IAA) said. “IAA wants to search out, recognize and reward this great talent. We hope to encourage and reward the strong concepts and high-quality emerging in the world of video production.”

“The GlobalTrend Awards is fresh and new,” Ong added. “We drew its inspiration from the imagery of strength and success, and this is reflected in the levels of awards our talented participants can win. We want to see talent at every level of the video industry succeed and be recognized in a big way.”

The GlobalTrend Video Awards is the third IAA-created competition. IAA, which is composed of award-winning design and communication professionals, also stands for ‘Inspire, Acknowledge, Achieve.’ “In a global marketplace, recognition of small business achievement is vital to the health of communities, and the economy as a whole,” Ong concluded. “By giving these exceptionally creative ‘stars’ the recognition they deserve, we can help move the whole industry forward.”

Louis Poulsen requests Frame.dk to create a spot for Verner Panton’s lamp design. “We couldn’t contain our excitement!”, indicates Frame.dk. They are big fans of Panton’s style, so it was a great pleasure for them to work with one of his designs. The “Panetella Mini” lamp is a smaller version of the original Panthella lamp, launched in 1971. It features a metal shade and comes in 11 delicious colours.

The legendary Danish designer Verner Panton uses powerful colours, organic shapes and uncommon materials. He designs everything from furniture to full art installations that looked, and probably felt, like an acid trip. Unsurprising, when you think that he completed a lot of his work in the 60’s.

As a starting point, Frame.dk investigates on Panton’s aesthetic universe. Then, they commence designing a tour de force of lamps, eye popping colours and abstract shapes. All of those is an inspiration by the man himself. Louis Poulsen also encourages them to give it their own personal touch. Thus, they had the freedom to interpret the unique style of Verner Panton. They did it with a unique twist. Besides, the video establishes a lighter, more contemporary tone!

In the end, it was all about creating something warm, happy, alive, intelligent and playful – just like Panton himself. To create a setting for the lamps to shine (no pun intended) and allow the focus to remain on these beautifully designed objects.
