OC Creative can insert your product, service, organization, or idea into our creativity blender, frappe it into something that sparkles, rebrand it, market it, tweak it, and elevate it until it's something we can both be proud of. Afterward you'll only have one question: What can't OC do for me?
2Congratulations! As the winner of the 2018 Muse Creative Awards, what does winning this award mean to you and your team?
We're proud of everything we do here. No project is complete unless that's true of it. But even we can't deny that it feels pretty good to be recognized for our hard work. Winning a 2018 Muse Creative Award is an honor--not because we feel we need to be awarded, but because we believe in the work we do. It's nice to know professionals outside our agency feel the same way as we do about the projects our talented designers are working on.
3What are your top three (3) favorite things about our industry?
First, our creativity is collaborative, and it offers us a space to grow in our respective fields and be inspired by each other during the process. When we surround ourselves with creative professionals, we're all made better by working together. Secondly, the creative industry is ever-evolving. It satisfies those of us who want to be constantly learning, growing, and evolving with it. There is no room for complacency in a world which changes all the time, and it's super fulfilling to be tasked with keeping up. Finally, and most importantly, this industry gives us a platform from which to effect positive change in our community and our world. Some might not think that what we do carries that much importance, but media drives popular opinion and can be a force for good in a world of distraction.
4If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering a career in creative industry, what would it be?
Don't be afraid to make mistakes. If you're not embarrassed about past work, you're not taking enough risks. Keep creating. Keep working at whatever you do, even when you're not inspired, even when you fail. Trying new things and stretching your skill set is invaluable and will put you above those who only stay in their comfort zone.
5Finally, what is your key to success?
Fail fast. I know it sounds silly, but making mistakes is inevitable. Don't waste time being afraid. Fail fast, learn from it, and teach others to not repeat your mistakes. That's been the key to our growth as a creative agency and as human beings.
